Only two parables, down-to-earth-stories, did Jesus explain to his disciples. Vincent Van Gogh made one of them the subject of his painting. Though he painted several versions, The Sower in all its forms provide a visual for how we think about our mission.
We gather disciples to Jesus, we scatter into the fields of our world, we serve others in the Name of Jesus.
Euguene Peterson translated Jesus’ coming into it the world with the image of “moving into the neighborhood.” Snow Hill follows the Spirit of Christ by participating in our *neighborhood*, the Tri-City Area. We offer a place for the committed and the curious to gather and consider Jesus’ call to follow Him. Together we scatter throughout the Tri-City area and beyond carrying within us the Spirit of Christ. Wherever we find ourselves we give glory to God by serving others in the Name of Jesus.
