The Roller Coaster that is Vacation Bible School Is Off to Great Start

The twists and turns of an adventurous Vacation Bible School 2013 make for a great time for local young people. It is not too late to get in on the event themes around a roller coaster ride. It is hard not to see the metaphor at work when we read the stories in the Scriptures. Children are sure to learn about a life of faith in Jesus.

Though VBS began last night at 6:30 p.m., we will continue through Thursday evening. We draw each evening to a close at 9:00 p.m. Thursday we will host Family Night.

Each year we take an offering to support a project that opens others up to the possibility of God’s love and grace. This year every penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and dollar bill will go to purchase medicines for a Health Post in Guatemala. Nurse Alicia has been on the job serving the Health Post in Pampacche since April. A generous gift was given through Snow Hill to provide for Nurse Alicia’s salary. We thought it would be great not only to provide her salary but also help provide meds. Several villages are served by the Health Post.

Learning about God’s love, his mission in the world, and other fun experiences await your child – Kindergarten through the Sixth Grade.

Jesus invites people into his life and his way. He takes what is and points to the new way of the Kingdom of God.  Come see what this journey is all about!

One way to think about the mission of Jesus - He calls into question the way things are and points to the way things may be in the Kingdom of God.
