Scriptures for the Week – Audio Link

The book of Revelation often serves as curiosity and source of debate. Some read the book in an attempt to unearth signs pointing to a final cataclysmic event. Others mine its words searching for support for their pre-determined eternal vision. Maybe it could be read for its message to first century Christians looking for hope in the present that might signal something of a vision for the future.

Imagine a crowd of people gathered from every "nation, tribe, language, and tongue" sharing a common relationship. Not simply part of humanity but confident what they could not do in reconciling across deep, divisive boundaries God had and would do so in Jesus, the Christ.

Consider reading the texts for the week. What if we asked the questions, "Who needs a shepherd?" and "Who's shepherd is Jesus?" when reading the John 10 passage.

What reflections do you have on these passages?

Here is the link to an audio reflection from Pastor Todd on one of the texts for Sunday – click here.

Jesus invites people into his life and his way. He takes what is and points to the new way of the Kingdom of God.  Come see what this journey is all about!

One way to think about the mission of Jesus - He calls into question the way things are and points to the way things may be in the Kingdom of God.
