Memorial for Jan

Tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. we will share in a memorial celebration of the life of Jan Smith. There are few times a Christian memorial is more timely than on the eve of Easter. Saturday is generally marked by darkness and hopelessness as the story of the scattered disciples illustrates.

Our hope turns on the empty tomb. The Apostle Paul remarked that if Jesus Christ is not raised from the dead then we are to be most pitied. He goes on to note the victory Jesus wrought over sin and death.

Pray for Jan’s family.

Jesus invites people into his life and his way. He takes what is and points to the new way of the Kingdom of God.  Come see what this journey is all about!

One way to think about the mission of Jesus - He calls into question the way things are and points to the way things may be in the Kingdom of God.
