Worship with Us This Sunday - 10:15 a.m.
Thank God it’s Friday. TGIF. We look forward to Fridays like a child looks for an ice cream treat on a hot summer day. We long for Fridays like desperate folks look to win the lottery.
Today is Good Friday. Almost no one thought that Friday was good. The only good that could come would be that Rome would be overthrown. When Jesus disappointed the hopes and dreams of the crowds who longed for liberation they called for his death. Good Friday?
Take some time to read Mark 14-15.
And, if it is too much to settle in with the thought of Jesus’ crucifixion on that Friday long ago, let Tony Campelo remind you not only of what is to come, but what hope it brings to the world.
