Worship with Us This Sunday - 10:15 a.m.
For a couple of years now we have followed the Christian Seasons Calendar. Some would recognize this as the "Liturgical Calendar of the Church Year." One of the features of living the Christian Seasons is the occasions to take in important events in the story of God beyond a "day.'
Kimberlee Conway Ireton's new book, The Circle of Seasons: Meeting God in the Church Year, helps those unaccustomed to the "Church Year" explore the meaning brought by celebrating the Season of Christmas as opposed to just one day. We tend to hurry to get to Christmas and then hurry away from Christmas. The Church Year gives intentionality to celebrations by allowing time to linger over the movements of God in history.
Linger a while in Christmas.
