Big Apple Adventure – Giving for Others

Pennies. Nickels. Dimes. Quarters. Learning to give requires us to use our bodies. We lend a hand to someone who has fallen. We give a shoulder on which someone may lean or cry.

Each evening during the 2011 version of Snow Hill VBS children learn to give for others. This year our offering is going to help support Teen Bi as part of Project Senegal.

Our partners, Jonathan and Kari Masson, live in Dakar and participate in the work of Teen Bi and carry on the work of Project Senegal.

Thank you children – and parents – for helping us help children learn to give for the needs of others. The very act of bringing pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters invites the children to do more than hear us talk about others great needs – they get to participate in the ongoing mission of God in the world.

Jesus invites people into his life and his way. He takes what is and points to the new way of the Kingdom of God.  Come see what this journey is all about!

One way to think about the mission of Jesus - He calls into question the way things are and points to the way things may be in the Kingdom of God.
