Art and Life

Last evening 15 folks from Snow Hill and God’s House spent time serving some friends in Oklahoma City. The ministry is sponsored by First Baptist Church, Bethany. People without homes, barely with homes, or simply struggling making it all work show up at a couple of location west of downtown OKC every Monday.

The condition folks come for food and clothing is as varied as the stories they tell. But, our interest is in serving hot soup, a cold drink, and providing clothes and toiletries.

Last night we were prayed over a couple of times and enjoyed a rendition of Amazing Grace and What A Friend We Have in Jesus on the harmonica.

We have a number of artists that do some really great work that often goes overlooked. Our partnership with FBC, Bethany allows us to paint a picture of the Way of Jesus in hopes that serving the least, the lost, and the left out others will experience the love of Jesus.

Enjoy the music.

Jesus invites people into his life and his way. He takes what is and points to the new way of the Kingdom of God.  Come see what this journey is all about!

One way to think about the mission of Jesus - He calls into question the way things are and points to the way things may be in the Kingdom of God.
