“Give us this day our daily bread.” Sometimes the systems and structures of our world create occasions for lack. Or, sometimes our decisions are narrowed by a lack of foresight, lack of hindsight, or discipline. Either way God calls us to care for one another, to love our neighbors.
Boxes are readied. Food is cooking. Our doctors, nurses, and pharmacists will combine with a host of volunteers to express the love and care of Jesus and his Kingdom Way this evening. Snow Hill members we encourage you to come share a meal with folks in our community, haul a box, offer a smile, open yourself up to friendship. See you this evening.
Had a great evening helping out tonight. As always, the clinic was hopping. I think we filled over 70 prescriptions in the pharmacy tonight. It is such a blessing to be to be part of what we do at Snow Hill. Every Wednesday, my husband Terry and I volunteer during our “Wednesdays Are For Others” and we have discovered that more often than not, many of those we serve are more of a blessing to us than we are to them. Some of the relationships and friendships I have built there have greatly enriched my life. For those of you that haven’t come up there on Wednesdays, I highly encourage it. It truly is an enriching experience. Both for those serving and those being served.
